Staff Cadet Application Process: Important Information

• Refer to the CTC SCdt Positions (attachment below) for available positions
• Be sure to list, your name, rank, the Cadet Training Center of your preference, and your top 3 choices (ranked in order)

• Important Information:

• A staff cadet applicant must be at least 16 by the course start date. 

• Cadet must have a SIN card and a bank account to work and be paid as a Staff Cadet – advise that Cadet applies for SIN card and bank account when they apply for Staff posn and not wait until last minute – which could result in Cadet not being paid ‘on time’ or hired if there is a ‘last minute backfill’ at a CSTC

• If a Cadet has accepted an offered Staff posn, and then has to decline, it is the responsibility of the Cadet to inform the Staffing Personnel, either directly or thru their Corps/Sqn, of the change as opposed to the Cadet ‘just not showing up’ on the designated date – this is not fair to other Cadets, who are waiting for a job offer, nor to the CSTCs.

• RCSU Staffing personnel will be using email as the primary mode of communication for all formerly ‘paper-based documentation’ ie Pre-Acknowledgment Letters, requests for Documentation, Offers of Employment. It is imperative that the Staffing Section has access to a valid email address for all Applicants.
