Saturday May 31 at 6:00am- Sunday June 1 at 4:15pm
Location: Cadets are to meet at Don Bosco S.S (2 Saint Andrews Blvd) and then will be bussed to Albion Hills.
Please eat before you board the bus. 
Dress: Dress for the weather and in layers. Please see kitlist below for mandatory items.


1. There will be a kit check on Friday May 23rd. Remember to bring your gear to the Sqn to be inspected.

2. Prohibited items listed below will be confiscated and the cadet may not be permitted to participate in the FTX.

3. Any cadet without proper clothing or boots (details below) for the FTX will not be permitted to participate on the FTX.

4. Prescription medication will be handed in to CV Squitieri prior to the departure Saturday morning.

A. Mandatory Items- You will not be allowed to attend the exercise without these items

  • Provincial Health Card

  • Personal Hygiene Items (toothpaste, toothbrush, small towel, baby wipes, soap, deodorant etc.)

  • Undergarments

  • Socks (wool or athletic)

  • 2 extra sets of clothing including; pants, tshirts, long sleeve shirts and wool socks

  • 2 x Heavy Sweaters/ Hoodies

  • 2 x Warm Pants (bring clothes made with synthetic fibres)- Jeans are not acceptable.

  • Wind Breaker Jacket

  • Rain gear (rain coat)

  • Proper Hiking Boots (that provide ankle support)– Running or ’street’ shoes, or high-tops are not acceptable

  • Flashlight/ Headlamp (headlamp is preferred)

  • Head Gear- Ball Cap (or tilly) and Tuque 

  • Gloves

  • Lip balm

  • Sunscreen

  • Insect Repellant 

  • Water bottle (full)

  • Backpack to carry personal equipment during the day

  • Note-taking materials-Paper and Pen

B. Optional Items

  • All optional items or items that are of value are under your supervision and care

Cadet-issue field gear:

  • Head gear (beret)

  • Rank Slip Ons

  • Tunic

  • Shirts

  • Pants

  • Combat Boots

C. Prohibited Items

    • Cigarettes, non-prescription drugs, alcohol

    • Lighters, or anything that can be considered a “weapon” ie pocket knife
