Date: Saturday October 13th - Sunday October 14th, 2018

Location/ Time: Cadets will report to TCI's Parking Lot for 6:45am on Saturday Oct 13th. 
**UPDATE** Parents are to be at TCI NLT 2:30pm to pick up their cadets on Sunday Oct 14th.

-All cadets must wear hiking boots
- Cadets are to bring a sleeping bag
-Civilian clothing suitable for camping; OR
-Complete olive green combat uniform - combat boots, beret with crest and rank slip-ons. No partial uniform will be accepted.

This is a mandatory training event for all cadets. The signup for this event can be done below.

Bring your health card!
You won’t be allowed to attend this event without your health card. If you have a temporary card please ensure you have government ID. Photocopies will not be accepted.

Bring all items listed on the kit list.
You can find a downloadable copy of the kit list below!

Arrive wearing your Hiking Boots.
This will be checked prior to departure. 

Be punctual 
We will depart and return to TCI (20 Fordwich Crescent)

Please note that all bags will be checked thoroughly prior to boarding the bus. If any non-permitted items are found they will be confiscated and the cadet will immediately return home to await further disciplinary action by the CO.


☐ Provincial Health Card NOT A PHOTOCOPY (if you have a temporary version you must bring government ID)

☐ Proper Hiking Boots with ankle support NO HIGH-TOP SNEAKERS (must be shown before boarding the bus)

☐ Sleeping Bag (sufficient for cold weather)

☐ Day backpack

☐ Pen & paper/ small notebook

☐ Rain Gear: waterproof poncho/ jacket and pants

☐ Personal cleaning kit (soap, toothbrush, tooth paste, deodorant, towel, baby wipes etc.)

☐ Lip Balm (Chapstick, Blistex)

☐ Sunscreen

☐ Bug Repellent

☐ Waterbottle

☐ A ball cap or cadet tilley hat

☐ A flashlight or headlamp (headlamp preferred)


☐ 2 extra sets of clothes including pants, t-shirts, long-sleeve t-shirts and wool socks (bring clothes made with synthetic fibres like nylon or polyester) DO NOT WEAR OR BRING JEANS!

☐ Undergarments

☐ 2 warm hoodies / sweaters

☐ 1 Windbreaker jacket

☐ Wool Socks (3 pairs)

☐ Warm Hat/ Toque & Gloves

***Attached is a sheet outlining the option of getting Combat clothing***

What is NOT permitted on this exercise:


NO lighters, knives or  anything else that could be considered a “weapon”

NO food, bottled pop or juice, it is not required and might attract wild-life

DO NOT wear jeans as it will prevent you from keeping warm
