Fall FTX 2015

FALL FTX 2015

Date: Saturday Sept 26th- Sunday Sept 27th
Location/ Time: Cadets will report to Don Bosco's North Parking Lot at 0600hrs (6am) on Saturday. Parents are to be at Don Bosco NLT 1600hrs (4:00pm) to pick up their cadets on Sunday Sept 27th.

This is a mandatory training event for cadets in levels 2, 4 & 5.
All other cadets will complete their training during our Spring FTX.

Please note that all bags will be checked thoroughly prior to boarding the bus. If any non-permitted items are found they will be confiscated and the cadet will immediately return home to await further disciplinary action by the CO.


YOU ARE REQUIRED TO BRING:
  • Provincial Health Card NOT A PHOTOCOPY (if you have a temporary version you must bring government ID)
  • Proper Hiking Boots with ankle support NO HIGH-TOP SNEAKERS (must be shown before boarding the bus
  • Day backpack
  • Pen & Paper/ small notebook
  • Rain Gear: waterproof poncho/ jacket and pants
  • Personal cleaning kit (soap, toothbrush, tooth paste, deodorant, towel, baby wipes etc.)
  • Lip Balm (Chapstick, Blistex)
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug Repellent
  • Waterbottle
  • A ball cap or cadet tilley hat
  • A flashlight or headlamp (headlamp preferred)
  • 2 extra sets of clothes including pants, t-shirts, long-sleeve t-shirts and wool socks (bring clothes made with synthetic fibres like nylon or polyester)
  • Undergarments
  • 2 hoodies/ sweaters
  • 1 Windbreaker jacket
  • Wool Socks (3 pair)
  • Warm Hat/ Toque & Gloves
  • Extra Dry Cloths to change into, if wet weather occurs all weekend

What is NOT permitted on this exercise:

• NO SMOKING, DRUGS OR ALCOHOL

• NO lighters, knives or  anything else that could be considered a “weapon”

• NO food, bottled pop or juice, it is not required and might attract wild-life

• DO NOT wear jeans as it will prevent you from keeping warm
