Uniform Parts Ready for Pick Up
The following cadets have uniform parts ready for pick up this week at the legion or this Friday:

To pass your level, you must attend one range session each training year. 

For those who have not been this year, click here to sign up. You will be notified of which Tuesday you have been scheduled to attend. 

If you are not sure if you have completed this PO, please speak with your level officer. 

2018  Spring Tagging

Date: Thursday April 19- Sunday April 22

Location: RCL Branch 286 (11 Irwin Road)

Dress: C-2 (Tunic, Ties & Ribbons), cadets are to bring parkas & gloves according to the weather. 

**As a minimum, all Cadets must tag Saturday OR Sunday plus one other day.

Band & Drill Team Competition 

Come out and cheer for our Band & Drill Team!

Dates: April 28-29, 2018

Locations: 
Band - HMCS York (659 Lake Shore Blvd W)
Drill - Fort York (250 Fort York Blvd)

Timing: TBD

700 Talent Show

Whether it's singing, dancing, a comedy skit or your magic tricks, come out and showcase your talents! 

Date: May 4, 2018
Dress: Appropriate civilian attire (cadets are also encouraged to wear Jerseys on top of their uniform to support the Humbolt tragedy)

Location: Thistletown Collegiate Institute

Timing: 6:00pm - 9:00pm

Snacks will be provided, canteen will also be open. 

Jazz Aviation Tours 

Date: Saturday May 12th.
Time: 0600 – 1330 hours approximately
Pick Up Location: TCI ( 20 Fordwich Crescent)

Bus will leave the parking lot @ 0600 hours for the JAZZ AVIATION flight training facility just north of Pearson airport for a 0630 arrival. All Cadets to get a landing and or a take-off in either a Q400 or Regional Jet flight simulator. We will  re-board  the bus for a short ride to the JAZZ hanger for a tour of that facility at about 1030 hours. We will adjourn to the JAZZ staff room where a light lunch will be served. We will board the bus a last time to return to the parking lot arriving at approximately 1330 hours.
 
All Cadets to be in uniform and be in possession of a health card. No health card , no bus ride.

Sign up will occur at the squadron every Friday during April.

Debate Team 

The topic for the tryouts is "BIRT school uniforms are a hindrance to education and should be removed.”

Please remember, you must prepare to debate both sides of this resolution, in order to tryout for any position (including Speaker of the House). All speeches should be under 3 minutes.

Flight Night Schedule

Location: Thistletown Collegiate Institute (Room 201)

Timing: 6:00pm - 8:00pm

OPTIONAL TRAINING 2017-2018

The following is the breakdown of optional training offered at our Squadron and a summary of key details:


Band: Thursday's (commencing Sept 28th) at TCI, 6:30pm-8:30pm. Dress is appropriate civilian attire. OPI is 2Lt Perfect. 

Open to all cadets & looking for new members.

Flying Scholarship - Ground School: Tuesday's (closed for this year) September-January at TCI, 7pm-9:30pm. Dress is appropriate civilian attire. OPI's is CV Jones.

Open to all cadets however only those who are eligible for the scholarship year will be permitted to write the entrance exam.
